Walking & Location
A scenic bridleway weaves through the site, leading you either down to the charming village of Scalby or further afield across fields and woodlands, perfect for those eager to explore. The Cleveland Way and Dalby Forest are also within easy reach.
In Scalby, you’ll find two welcoming pubs, The Plough and
The Nags Head, as well as the delightful Yew Tree Café Bistro.
The village is also home to a local shop, and for more extensive provisions, Proudfoot’s supermarket is just a short drive away in nearby Newby.
National Park & Dark Sky Reserve
Our location within the North York Moors National Park, which is also a designated Dark Sky Reserve (one of only 21 in the world) offers an array of activities and attractions that seem almost endless.
Simply being here is a delight, with the rich wildlife and pristine skies perfect for stargazing. On clear nights, you might even be lucky enough to witness the awe-inspiring Northern Lights.
